Movement Artist

About Me

Dance is not neutral and bodies are inextricable from identity. Art making arises spontaneously out of personal and collective experience.  Art making is about leaving space to make choices.

I care about dance outside of the proscenium, amateurism, and bodily autonomy. I believe that dance can happen anywhere and that we should all try more things we might be bad at.

I plagiarize myself constantly and interrogate the same ideas with different collaborators. Right now, those ideas are questions, collage, 80s pop music, movement off balance, and taking the absurd very seriously.

My philosophy as a dancer and a dance maker is deeply indebted to all my collaborators and I believe that a friendship is the best starting place for a dance.

At the end of my work, I want you to feel different than you did when it began.
